Are they sturdy enough to hang a small strand of chrismas lights on? I love chandeliers, correct that I'm obsessed. i recently found lighted ones that were stunning but they ranged from $20-30 plus s&h, which is to high for this cheap gal as we don't want to spend a ton of money on this one day when the days after are more important.

We dressed up our recpetion space by adding panels. I made plain white panels that I painted with hot pink vector-style orchids. They hung in our "cocktail lounge".

Here's how they looked in the room:

WOW...WOW...WOW...These things cost so much just in regular home lighting. And I'm talking the paper fru-fru designer ones.. This is awesome. I think I may steal this :)

When I woke up last Sunday morning to beautiful weather after a rainy Saturday (thanks to Hurricane Ike), I did a few things around the house and then hunkered down for a day of wedding projects. First up was the signage for the food stations and favor table.

I used the same fonts that are consistent throughout all of our wedding things—from the STDs, to the monogram, to the invitations—and created signs to be placed at each food station, nearest to the food that is available. Since we aren’t having a seated dinner, we decided with our coordinators that the best option was to create a sign for each individual food item. Here are the results:

The W Hotel has 4″x6″ frames, so I took a 4″x6″ piece of black card stock and then placed the 3″x5″ card on top. Voila! It was as easy as that! I just glued them together and placed them all in a plastic baggy for the coordinators to place in the proper spots on the day of the wedding!

I am still a little sad that I didn’t get to make menus for each person, but this was probably the best decision (and the least work).
