I have seen so many of these and hardly anyone posting how to do it. At first I was thinking... No one will use this, it's a waste of time and effort. Boy was I wrong. our wedding day was 90 degree weather with A LOT of humidity and no air conditiong in the church. I knew it was a gamble in the middle of June, but we were lucky to have these!
Here is what I came up with...
Front
Back
I used wooden sticks I found at hobbylobby and painted them black. The paper is simply cardstock found at any craft store standard 8 1/2 x 11" I cut it down to 5 1/2 x 7" and typed my text into word. I changed the print settings to the size of my paper and printed on my home printer. I folded the paper in half. With a piece of scotch tape I secured the stick to the paper and used double sided tape for the sides. With the help of my bridesmaid's maids we got it done in no time!
The fan in action! It was very durable and I even got to use it myself during pictures post ceremony.
Attached is the template you will need. Hope it helps and happy crafting!
by the way, it was kinda creepy seeing this post...my names erin, my fiancees name is schuyler (spelled the SAME!) and that was our original wedding date (but we changed it) lol, too weird
