So.... I'm finally getting around to making my "how to" for our programs. before I get too much farther how about I letcha see them...
They were really simply and very personable, as they had pictures drawn by my son and DH and my Engagement pics =)
sidenote: Because I used all of my supplies for the day of.. I will be using difffernt color stock and a differnt design for the cover to give a more formal look in this how-to =)
My Supplies:
I designed each page using Illustrator but you could easily use any program you would like.
Wedding Of Page / Drawing
Our Big Day title page / Engagement Pic
Ceremony Run-down / Engagement Pic
Song Lyrics for worhsip song incoporated in ceremony / Engagement Pic
Our Company title page / Portrait Pics of Bridal Party
Bridal Party / Drawing
Paper Cutter withe cutting blade and scoring blade
(scoring not "necessary" but does work better)
Glue Stick
Stapler (not pictured but used)
(2) 6.75 x 4.75 pre-cut 65lb colored cardstock (I will use brown for my how to)
6.75 x 4.75 pre-cut #80 text weight white paper for "Info Pages" as many as you need
I freaking LOVe it!!! I am doing program fans for my wedding tho since It is at the beach... Any suggestions on how I can incorporte my tears of joy packet into it? Or is it best to jsut keep them seperate? as of now, i have twine wrapped around on the fan stick attaching a bubble stick.... but awesome job this is the cutest thing ever!! great job
Not to be nosy, but around how much did these cost you? And around how many did you make? We figure there will probably be around 150-200 people at our ceremony. I'm not sure yet if I want the programs to be too involved.
@PennyTee I would just keep them seperate. I would suppose you could glue them on the back bottom of the fan but then I think as a guest I'd be worried about "breaking it" and the tears of joy falling off if I used it. lol
@chelles07 They were just under 2 bucks a piece... after paper & printing. I made way more than I needed so I spent about 50 bucks.

My Supplies:
1. Design your pages.
We had 6 pages front and back.
Wedding Info on the fronts and printed pictures on the back.
here's a link where you can see the pages larger =)
http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/the-official-program-any-opinions
2. Gather your info pages and staple them together
(forgive me on the "orange" I had to take a program apart to show the step)
3. Glue your cover sheets onto the "Info Pages"
You can see above it was about 1/4" along the edge
4. Assemble your cover
Option 1:
Glue the printed Cover Page onto the cardstock cover.
leaving approx 1/4 in on the top, right, and bottom sides
Option 2:
Glue the Monogram to the backing
Glue monogram onto the cover... with approx the same amount of space is on the top, right, and bottom sides
5. Assembly your Tears of Joy
Glue your "Tears of Joy" onto your "baggie"
Put 1 Tissue inside your "baggie"
6. Glue your "Tears of Joy" baggie on the inside back cover
7. Take your 2.5 x 4.74 strip and score it long ways at 1.25 in
Glue the strip onto the Left edge of the Program
This will cover the "white pages" inbetween the covers and just give it a clean look... "binding"
Also, if using option 1 cover it will make the "white printed cover" more centered.
AND.....
TA DA
Finished Program
Thanks ladies!!!!
