Bridesmaids Gift: Emergency Kit

posted 1 year ago in Miscellaenous DIY

I too thought it would be fun to make little e-kits for my BMs. I was inspired by Miss Lace's BM gifts but I couldn't really fathom making all those little containers! Instead, I stumbled upon perfectly sized envelopes at PaperPresentation. I also wanted the kit to be small as to fit in their clutch day-of. Thus, I chose this envelope container. Next I went shopping! And ended up with this:

(2) Tissues

(3) La Fresh Wipes: Nail Polish Remover, Makeup Remover, Deoderant

(3) Bandaids

(10) Bobby Pins

(5) Blotting Papers

(6) Fashion Tape

(2) Mint Flossers

(7) Q Tips

And inside: I put velcro circles to they are reclosable and a list of what's inside.

And here's a brief breakdown of what I spent for 7 Kits:

Envelopes:   $15.65

Velcro: $5.43

Tissues: $2.16  (Forever21!)

CVS: $20.45 (Bandaids, Flossers, Blottings, Bobby Pins)

LaFresh: $19.27 (I had LOTS of extras!)

Total: $62.96 = 8.99/kit*

* I had a LOT of supplies left over so this is a bit misleading (esp the LaFresh!)

If you have questions about things I bought/how it was assembled feel free to PM me! Happy gifting!

Love the velcro addition! I was debating whether to do a little box (impractical!) or a baggie thing. But this velcro idea is leading to a bunch of cool options for me, thanks girl! Quick question, where did you purchase the LA FRESH? Did you have to buy each type of wife separately, or do they sell some sort of combo/assorted pack? And .. maybe, perhaps - are you interested in selling/mailing me a few wipes? [Figure I'd ask, incase they're only sold in larger packs .. ] Thank you! :]

The LaFresh wipes are from: http://www.lafreshgroup.com/

They had a few combo packs but not for the amount I was looking for (7 kits total).

EXTRAS: I've had some interested in the extras so I'll answer the PMs/messages in the order I've gotten them until they are sold and then post that they are sold. Glad that they are a hit. When I bought them they were sold in batches of (12) so you might consider finding someone to split it with or sell to afterwards. And the 12packs are currently on sale!
