DIY Button balls

posted 2 years ago in Other reception decor

I created these button balls orginally to be as centrepieces, but that has now changed and I have done six red button balls that will line the aisle for the ceremony

We couldnt find any styrofoams that were big enough we found massive tennis balls and decided to use these. Using just a low heat glue gun and buttons.. I set about doing the button ball.

here they are complete! Also pictured the little pail buckets that i picked up for $5.00 each. I love em :) so cute!

How unique! Looks great and wow that's a lot of buttons! It would be awesome if you could find a hollowed out sphere to glue the buttons to then stick a strand of battery operated LED lights up into it. You'd get a nice glow from the buttons and the light you would get from a candle minus the flame! Now you've got the wheels in my brain a moving!

This is the sphere I'm thinking http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/acrylic-spheres-globes-balls

It has a great hole to just shove lights in! Oh I'm excited and thinking about doing something like this!!
