I did alot of reasearch on the silkboxes....phew are they expensive! So, I'm doing it myself...it's easier than I expected...but does take some time. I've used Dupouni silk, cardstock (for inside pockets, small jewerly box, and chipboard. It's doable- but time consuming! Good thing its a fall wedding! Estimate about $7.00 per box...without the brooch - but a bow would be nice too! I got the silk from LA Fabric Mart and pin from the LA Jewerly District.
Hi I am planning to DIY silk boxes as well. I think I have the idea on how to make it, but I would like to get your instructions as well. The box is beautiful and I can't wait to see the pictures.
