I had leftover vellum paper... what do i do with them now?

Hey bees,

I was checking out etsy today and saw these cool luminary designs many were using for table numbers.  I already had my table number design finished but I did have this whole pack of vellum paper left over from my unity candle (pic posting soon).

After fiddling with a few poems and scriptures, I came up with this design...  (excuse the blurry pic.. i turned the lights down a bit)...

I don't want to clutter up my main tables by placing these over the votives but I could use them over the votives on the cake and gift tables.

Anyone else using these but not as table numbers?  It was super easy to make.  I formatted the graphic and placed them six per page on a landscaped page 8.5 x 11.  I made sure that three fit perfect on the long end of the sheet so that when you taped the edges together, you wouldn't have any breaks...

After printing a few on the test pages, i tried the vellum and it almost looks embossed.  I took them to the paper cutter and cut them long way (3 on top and 3 on the bottom).  I used transparent tape to meld the seams (with no overlap) - and presto.  They are 4.25 inches tall with a diameter of 3.5".  They are wide enough that the votives are far away from the edges...

I may make a few more to place around the non seated tables.  Thanks Etsy!  Laughing

I like this. I wonder how I can adapt this for our theme? Maybe make them look like trees with our initials on them? Oh I like that! thanks for the inspiration.

I love, love, love this! Did you use Word? I would love a template if you don't mind posting it.

did u used regular vellum paper? or thicker like card stock? did u used a ink jet or laser printer?

@ FutureMrsPinnix - i used regular vellum paper and ran it through a laser jet printer.

@ FutureSteelFox, yes, i used word first but then i changed it to a picture file.  After that, i recreated it into word and inserted it as a picture six times so i wouldn't have to worry about columns and margins. (hope that wasnt confusing).  I'll send you both documents so you'll see what I mean.

@smileyd - i think your idea is nice.. you'll have to post a pic when you're done

There is a votive underneath... since it is paper, i didnt want the tea light to catch the side if it wasn't perfectly centered.  im sure battery operated would work fine as well
