I made my own Boutonnieres

posted 2 years ago in Other ceremony decor

I'm probably the most thrifty and money savy people in the world lol!!

So My florist bill is through the roof b/c I'm also super anal b/c when I make a decision, which I rarely do, It is for definate- like I am set on it. I decided to nix church flowers b/c we're only there an hour and the extra delivery fee fr two locations and transporting the arrangemets elsewhere after is just a waste. I also nixed the boutonnieres b/c on average they're from 15-25$ a piece. effff that!

So I got some materials and made my own out of felt, fabric, buttons, hemp, floral wire ad pins. they are quite time consuming but I began to fid it theraputic... lol I put on some gossip girl re-runs or music ad just work... then my bosto terrier jumps in my lap and distracts me but I finally did get them done!!

I decided to do a different kid to label the different me i our lives. traditioally all me in the wedding get one including grandpas and dads and ushers. Well our seating is seat yourself with some ushering for the moms and grandmoms from our groomsmen. So we have the groom with an overwhelming white flower to set him apart formt he other guys b/c theyre all in the same suit (they were yway now it has chaged to all different grey suits). I related the more grey boutonnieres tot he older gradpas and the more yellow boutonnieres to the groomsemen to match the ladies.

I'm rambleing now. lol so there you have it all done!!!:)
