My DIY mad lib guestbook! I wanted to have something a little more fun for our guests to leave us with. We will also have a photo album guestbook for those that prefer the traditional route. This is printed on 8.5" x 11" acid free paper, then cut in half - so two are printed per page. I will be providing guests with acid-free pens. After the weeding I will put them all in an album for a keepsake.
I've been thinking of doing the exact same thing, my only question is -where do youhave guests put the mad libs when they were done? I'm worried that just leaving them at the table will clutter things, I'd like them to go somewhere when they're complete. Any thoughts? Thanks!
We will have a container of some kind (I'm still hunting for something cool in antique stores) next to where the guests pick these and then pens up for them to drop them off when they are done. It's also next to one of the bars and our photobooth, and on the way to the restroom so the area isn't out of the way. I would recommend putting the drop-off location in an easy to spot and somewhat high traffic location so that guests can easily leave them for you.
I wrote on the top what to do with them asking them to 'leave the card in the lobby'. My DOC will also be hleping with this. Having a kid help is a good idea. I have a tween cousin who would probably love to do this...he's such an awesome helper!
I do love your Mad Lib page and am looking to do the same thing - but what if you have a single guest or guest and a date, that you do know or might not know? Are you making up two pages? One with room for two names and one for just one name, or two with two last names?
I'm just going with it as is. I think part of the fun is the random stuff people will write in the blanks. People who don't fit perfectly in the blanks...lol...will write something funny I'm sure. I also printed extras because I anticipate a few people will fill out more than one.
