Miss International's Fan Labels

Thank you all for your wonderful DIY tips and tutorials - it helps so much!

So maybe I can help somebody with this:

I'll have (sandalwood-) fans as wedding favors for the ladies and cigars as favors for the guys. Since both - closed fan and cigars - have a similar color, shape and length, I decided to make one banderole and use it for both!

Use the template to make your own label (I used PAINT.NET for this - it's a freeware and pretty easy to handle). Put your Monogram on, change letters, colors and make parts of the banderole transparent, so the color of the paper you print on will be visible... then save and open in Powerpoint, where you can exactly choose the size of your labels. For the fans I took 8 cm (= 3,15") as lenght. (aspect ratio was kept)

And print them...

Cut the labels out.

The next step is to attach the labels to the fans, with a simple glue stick.

My wedding color combo is Cream + Lavender + Chocolate, that's why I used lilac ribbon for my fans, as you can see below...
