I finally started assembling our invites and am so happy with the finished product! I am a graphic designer, so one of the first things I did after we got engaged was determine what look all of our stationary would have. I wanted a clean and simple look, but also wanted to tie in the rustic feel of our venue.
I created the tag first because I knew I wanted to use that type treatment on our save the dates. It became our "logo." Then the invitation evolved. The tags are grommeted and have a kraft paper backing. Then I used a very thin hemp twine to tie everything together.
I got a great deal on printing through VistaPrint. I was unhappy with the color on the first batch, but they fixed the problem, no questions asked and expedited shipping! The tags were printed with the laser printer at work on textured cardstock and trimmed with an xacto.
Cant wait to get them in the mail at the end of summer! 4 months to go!
love the modern twist! fellow designer here as well. Did you just place the RSVP and other information behind the invite and use the tag ties to keep it together?
