Mrs. Kitten's A Moo How To: Cocktail Hour Trivia Cards! : wedding diy reception tutorial 3419780

A while back I posted about the idea of creating trivia cards to keep guests entertained during our cocktail hour. I printed them on Moo business cards. Moo cards are great because not only can you print on both sides, but you can print a different image on each card! I’ve been getting some questions about how the process works, so here’s a little tutorial on how to make your very own Moo cards.

Here’s how it works–say you have two sides to the card, Side A and Side B.

On Side A you can print a different image on each card–that’s the easy part! On Side B you can either have text or an image, but the only catch is that you have to have the same thing on every card. And if you choose the text option, you have to enter the text through the Moo text editor, which has pretty limited font and formatting options.

Because I needed each Trivia Card to have a different question onit, I had to print the questions on Side A. That means that I had to upload the questions as images. I have Photoshop, but had never used it, so my lovely roommate gave me a quick tutorial and I was on my way. With Photoshop I was able to create the cards in our rainbow sherbet palette AND put the answers to the trivia questions upside down on the bottom corner of the cards. The only challenging part was making sure I had enough buffer space around the edges so the wording wasn’t cut off (the correct buffer was about 5 mm on each side). On Side B I printed one of the following engagement photos:

Here are some examples of the front sides of the cards! I ended up making 100—50 Kitten trivia, 25 Cayman trivia, and 25 wedding trivia. I’m told our guests had fun during the cocktail hour, turning the trivia cards into a contest to see who could get the most right!

Out of curiosity, how did this game work?  How many cards did you put on each table?  OR Did each guest get a set of trivia cards?  OR Did each table have the same questions?  This looks like an awesome idea, but I'm trying to figure out exactly what the process is during the reception.  THANKS!
