This looks great. I'm planning on doing a brooch bouquet as well. About how many did you use? Also where did you end up getting the brooches and did you use silk hydrangeas for the base?
i used 50 brooches in total. i collected 70 but i cut it down to 50 when it started being sooooo heavy, but its still a nice size...8 inches diametre. (weighs 1.5 kilo's)
i collected the brooches from ebay, charity shops and begged them off family members too.
i have done a tutorial for this on flickr.....here is the link to that
thank you. i wasnt sure about the leaves either, but i wanted the flowers, and the flowers didnt look right without the leaves......if that makes sense? LOL

i did use silk flowers but i dont think they were hydrangeas, they were very similar though.

posted by anne B 1 year agoWow, it's gorgeous!! The brooches are very pretty! I'm not a fan of the green leaves, but i love that combination of brooches and silk flowers!
