Love Birds- I bought some Tim Holtz Distress ink, picked up some cheap cosmetic sponges sponged the ink on, sprayed water lightly with spray bottle, and dried them with a hair dryer.
Would it be possible to see the other side?? PLEEEASE! I am TOTALLY in love with these. Absolutely one of the most unique invites I have ever seen. Amazing job!
What a fantastic idea, especially for us brides that are inviting the majority of the guests to the reception only. I have decided on my invitation wording, but would love to know how you inscribed the backside. Did you hand write them? (would love to see the backside if you don't mind sharing).
The info on the other side is also a stamp, it says Terry & Jason then September 4th 2011.
The ink I used was in colour Antique Linen.
I'll take a picture of the backside when I make the next batch, I've already sent out the ones I made to the out -of-towners who would need theirs sooner to plan arrangements. :)
The skeleton keys I bought in bulk on Etsy in the supplies section.
My actual invitations I used Staples scalloped M Cards and Envelopes in gold.
I'll get a picture of those as well with the next batch.
these are fantastic! Thanks for the tips, I have been trying to do a similar project for our escort cards but didn't know the best way to distress them!
I made this with #5 manilla tags, sponge, string, distress ink, black stamp pad, vintage keys and a custom stamp made by drumchick on Etsy.
