MY DIY WEDDING INVITES ARE DONE!!!!!

posted 2 years ago in Invitations

Since so many of my fellow wedding bee's have helped me out on DIY projects, I thought I would share mine as well. It took two full days to complate my invites, but with the budget Im on, my time is less important then spending a ton of $$$ for invitations. Plus Im creative,  like to personalize things and it was kinda fun!

Here they are- I will explain in detail how I did them step by step.

This Fuschia envelope was from Paper Source, as was the personal return address embosser I purchased. I love the way it looks, (I erased part of my address  in this pic just because this is a public site) plus I can use it for any future mail I need to return address. The emboss plate was $30 and the envelopes were $5 per pack of ten.

This mailing label came with the invite kit I purchased at Michaels. The font I got from MISS APPLE CIDER"s DIY invites- I loved it so much and used her fonts. Thanks Miss Cider! I printed the labels on my own printer and used BEST quality and envelope print options. I let them dry for a couple hours just in case they may smear.

These envelope inserts were scrapbook paper I got from Michaels. (70 cents per sheet) I was able to get two inserts out of each sheet. I used double sided tape to attach the insert paper.

This is also part of the invite kit. I purchased the kit from Michaels as well. They were $40 for 30 invites, but I used a 50% off coupon. The gems were also from Michaels and were self adhesive.

I designed the RSVP card in Photoshop, but the template they included with the invites was easy to use as well. I used the wording from MISS APPLE CIDER"S rsvp cards because i thought it was so cute! The swirl design on the envelope and card are part of the cards, I didnt add that.

Here is the final little package my guests will receive! The RSVP card & envelope slip in the side pocket and I added a pink ribbon around the middle of the invitation to add my personal flair. The whole package then was inserted in the lined fuschia envelopes. Ive had great response from guests and Im really happy with the turn out- The total for everything, including postage was about $300 for 70 invites...
