This was my last wedding project. Accordian fold invites! After all 350 were done, i was wishing I just went with the regular book fold program but they turned out nicely.
I used my cuttlebug with the spellbinder die to cut out the front and back. The inside was letter paper cut down to 4" height and folded in four equal rectangles. I used a glue stick to hold them all together and placed my tear of joy packet on the inside. The bridesmaids are on vacation from me for a few months but we got them done. :-)
Overall, the cost was for the card stock dark purple paper from paperandmore.com - $40. I was able to get four cutouts per page and printed the inside program on regular white paper for free. Labor costs were covered by food for all who helped.. lol.
This is the front cover. I left the back blank.
This is the Gocco in action. Really got good use of it! I printed white on purpler paper and purple on silver paper. You can see the lonely silver one on the bottom.
We've got all the parts together - now ready for construction.
Finished program - front and back. Everyone really liked them.
Hi this is seriously AMAZING! Im so jealous. Do you mind sharing how to do the accordian printing? sorry stupid question but I'm not as tech savvy as I hope to be. I'm DIY-ing my wedding program since it's so expensive to have it made. Thanks!
Thanks for your comments. I got the idea from other Bees here on this site and chose my own die cut for the front and back.
FelixandJoyce - send me your email and i'll send you the sheet I used for the program. I used a four column format in Microsoft Word and kept trying until it fit within the cuts I wanted to make (1/2 inch out the middle).
You are fabulous! I love these! Could you send me the template you used? My wedding is soon and I really need to get these done!!! Did you print them on your computor or have them printed? Thank you so much. micky053@msn.com
