My Modern + Affordable DIY Invitations

I love a good DIY project so I totally enjoyed most of the creative process. The primary determining factors that drove the direction of my invites:

• Affordable (I kept it around $1.50 per invitation)
• Modern
• Informal/fun
• Minimal crafting (I needed to do over 100 so didn't want to be overwhelmed)

My wedding theme is based around the puzzle piece and the "chevron" pattern so I kept close to those concepts. I used the characatures I drew for my save-the-dates and designed everything else in Adobe Illustrator.

To keep printing cost down, I sent these to an online printer. The print quailty isn't amazing, but it was cheap and can't complain. The final touch was using business cards as hang tags on the reception card. I used eyelets and divine twine to finish it off.

Yellow is SUCH a good color, right!

Yes, I drew it myself mostly because my Adobe Illustrator skills are mediocre at best. lol
