Oops Kit for OOT Boxes : wedding oot box out of town bag oops kit first aid emergency kit diy Oops Kit 2 Copy

My wedding was out of town for almost all of my guests, so one of the first things I started planning (obsessing over) for my wedding were the Out Of Town boxes and all the adorable, pint-sized things I wanted to include in them!

For me, an "oops kit" was going to be an essential - somethng that would include those items that (1) are frequently forgotten about or never thought of in the first place, (2) aren't typiclly included by the hotel (things like lotion, shampoo, sewing kits, cotton balls, etc.) and (3) would be annoying or expensive to buy at the hotel.

Behold:

Oops Kit for OOT Boxes : wedding oot box out of town bag oops kit first aid emergency kit diy Oops Kit

Contents:

Clear PVC Pillow Box (5.5" x 3.5" x 0.75") - $0.14 each at PaperMart.com

Shout Wipe - $0.99/4pk at Target = $0.25 each

Advil- $0.99/3pk at dollar store = $0.33 each

Two Band Aids - $1/30pk at dollar store = $0.07 for two

Wet Wipes - $1/18pk at dollar store = $0.06 each

Kiehls SPF Sample - FREE (we happend to have a bunch of these on hand!)

(In the small sealable celophane bag, which I had around the house):

Two Alcohol Wipes - $1/18pk at dollar store = $0.11 for two

Two Bobby Pins - $1/50pk at dollar store = about $0.04

Two Safety Pins - $1/100pk at dollar store = about $0.02

One Black hair tie -$1/30pk at dollar store = about $0.03

Two clear plastic hair ties - $1/200pk at dollar store = about $0.01

Everything was topped off with some labels I purchased at Staples or Office Depot, about 2" by 2.5", and printed at home. It reads: "Oops, Eek, Ouch For life's little emergencies". You could also use some regular paper and a glue stick.

Total Cost: $1.06 (before tax) - That's about the same price as one of those Johnson & Johnson mini first aid kits, and it includes so much more than band aids!

This is really cute!  What else are you going to put in your OOT boxes?

this is fantastic! when you list items from the dollar store do you mean Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Fred's...? Curious because I went to the actual "Dollar Tree" today and they had nothing but bobby pins and pony bands from your list lol.

I got all of those particular items from the 99 Cents Only stores (I think they're mostly located on the West Coast). Their inventory changes a lot depending on what they get their hands on, but they offer great deals when you can catch them.

BTW - thank you all for the kind posts!!

The East coast has dollar tree which is another $1 store.  They have a lot of amazing stuff there.  You can also order in bulk online (www.dollartree.com) which I am thinking of doing for my vases.
