These menus were actually pretty easy to make. I'll post the breakdown below.
So I started with a navy blue linen 80lb cardstock, purchased from Paperandmore.com. I trimmed the paper to 3 1/2" x 6 3/4" and was able to get 3 per 8x10 sheet.
Then I designed the menu on 3" x 6 1/4" paper and managed to get 3 per 8x10 sheet as well. This was printed on 100lb (or maybe it was 110lb) shimmer opal cardstock from Envelopemall.com. In case you're wondering, I printed these on my work's heavy duty printer. Only an awesome and expensive printer or Kinko's type place will be able to handle this paper. I trimmed all the pieces to size. Each menu template I designed with a faint gray line around as my "cutting" lines to make cutting easier and without measurement.
Then I took 3/8" ribbon and glued it around the backside of the navy paper, leaving the "rough" edges to be underneath the menu paper. The I glued the menu to the navy paper overtop of the ribbon. I used Elmer's glue sticks for the ribbon and gluing the menus to the navy paper. I found them to be not only the cheapest option, but the best in terms of actually sticking.
Fonts used: The "fancy" font for the titles is Sloop Font, downloaded for free from dafont.com. The font for the descriptions is Monotype Corsiva, which is a standard font in Microsoft Office. These were also used on my invites.
For the monogram, I found instructions on how to create a monogram by Googling someting like DIY monogram. Here is where you can really personalize the menu. My theme was more traditional romance but I know a lot of people like a more modern look. If you want to replicate my monogram, follow this link for the basic instructions.
