this is what im doing for our tables too! but instead of us as a coule we are putting our daughters in to hold the signs. i am trying to incoperate our girls in as much as i can to show them how involved they can be in the wedding
Aimee -- I am Middle Eastern and have the biggest extended family EVER. Have you seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding? It's that x 100. And my fiance is American so it's exactly the same situation. His side is going to be like 50 people. Mine will be over 250. UGH! But I am trying to cut down!!!! It's a "respect" thing in our culture so you have to invite certain relatives. :(
@Fabulizz- If you really want the photo table numbers, have you thought about using Photoshop or a similar program? It's pretty easy, actually. For example you could take 10 different photos, but in each one you're just holding a blank card, chalkboard, etc. Then you (or your photographer) could use Photoshop to add the numbers onto the blank spots in each photo. You'd use each photo 3 times, but since they're spread around the whole reception I doubt anyone will notice the repetition. Just an idea. Good luck with your huge-normous wedding! :-)
FutureSteelFox -- good suggestion and I've TOTALLY thought of that and since i am a graphic designer, I could do all that myself. I may still consider it, but i want to enlarge some of our engagement photos and hang them on the wall at the hall so the walls aren't so bare at the reception. And you know, have spotlights shining on them. I am thinking instead of just doing simpler table numbers. So many ideas in my head! Hmmm.....
Thanks for the good luck wishes. I pretty much have everything planned. Now it's just saving up the money and paying for it all! Ughhhhhhhh.
This is a great idea! We want to do it but I have some questions. How did you set them on the tables? Did you just use the table number stands? I am wondering how to make sure they are larger enough to be noticeable. And were they only one sided?
the photographer only sent us one so far... but we have 12 poses to represent our 12 table numbers.. so fun!!
