About 6 months ago I found pine cones while I was hiking. Then about 4 months ago, I ordered a little tiny hat from this website: FactoryDirectCraft.com the description (1 x Mini Black Flocked Felt Top Hat - Size: 2"w x 2"l x 1"h (12767) = $1.29) said it was a top hat, but it actually wasn't exactly what i was looking for, and honestly if i was to do it all over again i would have gotten a slightly larger hat. BUT the shipping was 2x as much as the hat, so I just went with it.
Soooo from inspiration to reality:
I bought two little stands that are used for making icing flowers (i think they're called flower nails and i got them at Michaels in the cake decorating section) and then I just hot glued my pine cones t othem. I cut some nubs off the top of my man pinecone to make the hat fit correctly
and then for the bride I used some tool from my dress and then I had a little line of pearl stickers left over from my card box so I stuck those on there for a little bling
once i got all the stuff together it took about 30 minutes and i'm pretty happy with them!
Very cute! Yes those are called Flower Nails :) And you could add the little ring to the bride to give it a bit more something on the front. Just get a small bead/rhynstone and a little circle :)
Ok so you've probably all seen this on Pinterset
I've been pretty much obsessed wit it since I found it (photo credit: http://rusticweddingchic.com/rustic-west-virginia-wedding) But i was having a hard time figuring out how to pull it together.
