Since it was difficult to gather the papers in one color like I had imagined, I went ahead and purchased different colors for each of the kusudama balls. I had purple, pink, green, black/white, and blue.
I'm still stumped on what else to add to the centerpiece. I will be attaching a string of beads on the the ball so that it will be see through inside the vase. I'm also pondering the idea of buying candle holders from the dollar store to add height to the vases.
Also, should I be matching the ribbon color to the ball color? or keep all of the ribbons the same?
Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks bees
Here's my first attempt. The color of the flowers and ribbon will be changed. I made this one using the paper I already had from my stash.
I'm using this ball for both the ceremony decoration (hanging down the side of the pews) and for the reception.
I wanted to hang the ball from the ceiling of the restaurant but unsure if I will be able to do so.
If not I will place the ball on a vase like this. The vase will be decorated too with ribbon bands around the top and bottom. Just have not done it yet.
Updated Centerpiece.
