Ring Bearer "FLOWER" Pillow. Cost: Abt $8

posted 2 years ago in Ringbearer pillows

I was having a hard time finding a ring bearer pillow that I liked and would go with the rustic tin pail we are using for the flower girl basket.

So I made one out of flower heads similiar to stephantois, but are more of a creamy color.

Supplies:

1 flat block of floral foam

Ribbon any shape and size or color you like

1 piece of skinny ribbon to use to tie the rings on

Hot glue gun

pearl head pins

a lot of flower heads

I used a block of floral foam from the dollartree ($1) as the base, then I wrapped ribbon( around $2) around the sides and the bottom to cover all the foam (only on one side). I used hot glue one the edges to attach the ribbon and just pulled it tight to across and hot glued the other side.

Then I took 5 stems of flowers($5) that had between 15-20 flowers on each. Cut off all the flowers and hot glued them all over the middle of the top of floral foam. On the outside and edges I used cream and red pearl head pins to pin the flowers on. The pins are shorter than the foam and do not stick out.

I took the small skinny ribbon and tied it around the block so the ring bearer has a place to hold on to and tucked in the sides of the ribbon around the flowers.

Done! Took about 30 mins. Super easy!

Thank you! I bought the flowers from Micheals I think.  But Ive also seen packs of stephanotis heads without the stems in a box of like 100 at Joann's which would be so much easier! I cut off each flower off the stem. I've made almost everything for our wedding and this was the easiest project.

First I would like to say I love your design! I plan on doing the samething for my wedding. I was reading your instructions and I just have one question: What does the bottom look like? Do you cover that in ribbon or just keep it bare?

This is exactly what I've been looking for for a ring pillow! I never really though to use the green floral foam, I thought it was a pillow on the inside. I'm having my 2 "ring bearers" carry 2 round, ivory balloons, and my flower girl will carry a square wicker basket/ring pillow combination. I'm definitely going to use this idea to put on the inside of that basket now.
