RUSTIC CENTERPIECES. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK..

HI GIRLS :)

I HAVEN'T POSTED IN A WHILE. ITS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT I ONLY HAVE 4 MONTHS TIL THE WEDDING.  I'VE BEEN WORKING ON CENTERPIECE IDEAS AND MET WITH MY LOCAL FLORIST A FEW WEEKENDS AGO.  WE DECIDED ON HYDRANGRA FLOWERS AND I BROUGHT BACK ALL MY GLASS VASES AND DECIDED TO MAKE MY OWN.  I ASKED A FEW PEOPLE TO SAVE THEIR SOUP/PEA CANS. WHEN I STARTED TO RECEIVE BALL FULLS I KNEW IT WAS TIME TO GET STARTED!

I BOUGHT A FEW ROLLS OF JUTE FROM MICHEALS. I GOT THEM ON SALE FOR UNDER $2.00.  I ALSO BOUGHT WOODEN HEARTS AND A WOOD BURNING PEN TO CARVE OUR FIRST INTIALS. AND A FEW BAGS OF RAFFIA TO TIE IT OFF.  OUR VENUE IS VERY COUNTRY/RUSTIC SO I WANTED TO STICK WITHIN THE SAME THEME... LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! :)  THANKS!

ALSO.. HERE IS A PICTURE OF WHAT I'D LIKE TO USE AS MY FLOWER GIRL BASKET AND A RING BEARER PILLOW.  I AM HAVING MY MOM SEW ME A SATIN PILLOW TO PLACE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WEATH.. ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO DECORATE THESE TWO PIECES?

Love them!!! I'm still playing with my centerpiece idea... I keep adding little details- I'm a little less than 4 months out!

My fiance and I have been working on burning our initials into hearts too! These little dandies are going on our invitations with a burlap band! :)

Time consuming, huh??? :P

@almostmrsv- very time consuming! They are super cute so they are totally worth it.  I did take me a little while to get used to the pen! I am playing around with burlap as well. I made pomander balls that i'll be hanging on shepard hooks for the outdoor ceremony... i dont like the ribbon i used so i'm trying to tie the bow using burlap but its kind of difficult :(

I just love this website! I very much enjoy homemade crafts and projects, but lack the creative ability to really come up with things by myself. Hopefully that will change now that I am getting back into making them!
