-------------------- INITIAL POST ------------------------------
Hey Bees, I created this one in Word. I took a look at the ones on Etsy.com and recreated it to fit with the graphics we have been using throughout our invites, etc. Now that I have all the final names for the reception (fingers crossed), this is one of my last DIYs besides the programs and cupcake tower.
I made the table in word (8 x 3) and then placed text boxes in each table to create the table columns so that there was adequate spacing in between each one. I then made sure the table had no color fill or outlines which only left the borders around my text boxes. The graphic was shaded "watermark" in the background and i used word art and shapes to recreate the rest.
Any comments before I take it to print. I always appreciate the good advice here. It's almost wed time and i'll miss posting here.. :-) I'm going to blow this up to a 24x36 print and spray adhesive it on a 1/4" purple foam board to give it a little bit of an outline OR i will frame it in a silver framed poster board frame. Not sure yet... Trying to have this done by the weekend.
This looks fab! I really love it. Was it hard doing the chart? My brain is on overload and even though my template is done and I already purchased the frame; I am considering scraping the whole idea.
@Datia, the hard part was formatting it. If you already have the template, adding the names should be the easy part. If you have RSVP drama, it maybe a hassle but we have all the names of people who are coming and we won't add any more. I'm going to price it today to see how much it will cost to print. If it's too much, i may just black and white the chart and place a silver and purple ribbon border around it for color. I'm DIY'd out - so i'm taking the easy road from here until the 26th!
i'll post again when i print, adhere and frame w/easel
I would love to get this template as well, its awesome. I have a different seating chart but I really love the watermark and formatting of yours. Can you send it to me via PM or through email: ken4pooh@yahoo.com??
If you can thanks so much, if not Thank You for the inspiration :-)
