I had two styles of wedding invitations since I ran out of one type of card. I used my Cuttlebug on plain cardstock to get the embossed finish. I have gotten several emails about my invites requesting speciific details for the measurements so here it is again! :) You can also find some of these measurements with the other style but I guess some bees like this style better!
The pocketfolder is made from handmade paper from www.handmade-paper.us. This is the most expensive part of the suite at .60 each. The outer folder measures 8" x 5 1/2" finished and is made from a piece of cardstock cut into standard ledger size sheets.
The outer envelope is an A7 envelope that I got on clearance at WalMart for about .05 each. The same holds for the response envelope (A2 size).
The cards inside are cut as follows:
Cut the 8.5" x 11" card stock in the middle lengthwise. You will now have 2 pieces 4.25" x 11"
Cut the first piece widthwise at 7". This will leave a 4" piece.
Cut the second piece widthwise at 6". This will leave a 5" piece.
Now you have 4 successive pieces of card: 4", 5", 6" and 7".
I have a lot of scrapbooking and craft stuff so the only other thing I had to pay for was the stamps but I don't count this as I can use the Scripture stamps over and over for other things. I do include the ribbon (from the dollar store) and the yellow cardstock bought at office max. I figure all that adds another .15 cents per invite.
Just note that you will have to pay extra postage!

Beautiful invitations, by the way!
posted by AwesomeNiks 1 year agoThanks! I used 1 Corinthians 13 for the invitations and Psalm 118:24 for the reception cards.
