I'm having a twine "clothesline" along one wall of our venue to hang photographs of family and friends on.
I would have been just as happy with plain wood clothespins, as we have a rustic theme and the wood would fit right in, but our colors are Lavender and Brown and the lavender has been completetly lost amongst all the browns in our decor.
So, I glued strips of cardstock onto the clothespins to add some color to our wedding!
The cost was minimal. $1 for 72 clothespins at the local dollar store and the cardstock was hiding in the closet with the craft glue. =D
I did the same thing (well almost.) I spray painted the clips black and attached magnetic dots on the back. I tied a little ribbon around the ones I kept solid black. And, the damask ones I just left plain. My shower guests loved them and now they have a coordinating magnet to place on their fridge that holds our wedding invitation!
Thanks for the idea! I saw this a few months ago, and finally made some tonight. I have only made 20 so far, but I just randomly decided to do it tonight and that is all I had in the house. I cut A LOT of scrapbook paper though to the right sizes. Can't wait to buy more clothepins. Thatnks again :)
Clothespins?!?! Yeah, clothespins.
