For our table numbers I painted wood numbers and stuck little pearl stickers on them. I bought small unpainted wood numbers from Hobby Lobby for 60 cents each (they were 40% off) and painted them with 4 coats of crimson paint. I used small pearl stickers from a "bling" sticker package from Michael's (Recollection brand).
The final product all together!
Starting point!
After the first 2 coats of paint.
Close up of the first 3 numbers!
Table 10
All the photos make the red look a lot darker than it really is, they're crimson, not a nearly brown burgundy.
I'm laying them flat on the table, well on the square mirror that's the base of our centerpieces. This was a big issue for us. I tried for weeks to figure out how to stand them up. I was going to get the wood numbers that are flat on the bottom from Hobby Lobby, but they were huge and would have dwarfed our centerpieces.
I'll post a photo tonight of the centerpiece layout so you all can see what I mean. Just a note for those using mirrors though, I didn't paint the back sides until after I realized you could see part of them when they lay on the mirrors!
Here's what the centerpiece rough mock up with the numbers looks like (imagine a rose rather than a pencil in the vase and a real hurricane glass rather than a vase!):
If they have a poimt on the back (curve end) then you can prop them at an angle, Or you can put something behind them and cover it with flowers =] I like the idea of the little pearls in your vase, very cute!

posted by ccranetobe 1 year agoThese are nice! How do you plan on displaying them?
Do they stand up on their own or are you going to leave them laying flat?
posted by bre2be 1 year agoI love this idea too... I am also super curious how you are going to display them!

posted by chrismiah13 1 year agoThe pearl stickers are from Michael's scrapbook section. They come linked together, so I had to cut each one apart.
